Columbia PD arrests suspected gunman in weekend shooting

Columbia, SC (WOLO) — The Columbia Police Department has made an arrest in a shooting from this past weekend. According to CPD, Monday authorities arrested 27-year-old Daniel A. Wise accused of Attempted Murder and Possession of a Weapon during a Violent Crime.
Authorities say the arrest stems from a shooting that took place just after 10 pm in the 1700 block of Washington Street Sunday April 27, 2025. Wise is accused of shooting a male acquaintance following an argument between the two.
According to authorities, the victim suffered a non life threatening injury.
