CPD: Man accused of shooting man during armed robbery arrested

COLUMBIA, S.C.(WOLO)– Columbia PD has arrested a man accused of a shooting a man during an armed robbery, say police.

Officers say 49-year-old Kacie Butler is charged with assault & battery of a high & aggravated nature, armed robbery, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, and persons prohibited from carrying a firearm.

CPD officers, and K9 teams found Butler Wednesday, April 30, at a hotel on Huger Street, and recovered several firearms.

The initial crime happened on April 23 at 2018 Main St (Christ Central Ministries), according to Columbia Police Department.

The victim did not receive a life-threatening injury.
