SC House passes private school voucher bill
COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– SC House lawmakers have passed a bill that allows parents to receive vouchers for private schools.
The K12 Education Lottery Scholarship would use funds from the South Carolina Education Lottery to fund scholarships for private schools.
The South Carolina Education Association has criticized the bill saying it “undermines our public schools and threatens the quality of education that’s vital for all South Carolinians.”
The bill now heads to Governor McMaster’s desk.
