New details released in fatal accident involving concrete truck

Columbia, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police have released additional information in a fatal accident involving a concrete truck and a cyclist.
Police say the truck was traveling south on main street and had a green light while turning right onto Calhoun St.
At the same time, investigators say, a bicyclist was riding east on the sidewalk.
As the bicyclist turned onto Calhoun St., he got in the way of the truck and was hit.

Officials say the cyclist was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford identified the person as 31-year-old Javon O. Hardy.
