Local Living: OCSO’s Summer camp, Cayce Character Camp, Columbia Black Expo, Community yard sale

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office is hosting their first ever summer camp.

It takes place July 7 through July 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at New Galilee Christian Church in Holly Hill.

The camp is open to kids ages 8 to 17.

You must pick up an application at the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office.

 

The Cayce Police Department is also hosting a summer camp.

The Cayce Character Camp is designed to build meaningful connections between youth, police officers and community leaders.

It will be held July 14 through the July 24 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cayce Elementary School.

The camp is open to ages 7 through 12 and costs $90 per child.

 

The annual Columbia Black Expo is back at the fairgrounds this Saturday, May 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

There will be exhibitions, products from several black owned businesses, and more.

You can also try several dishes at the Taste of the Black Expo this Friday, May 16, at 7:30 p.m. at the fairgrounds.

 

Get ready to shop ’til you drop at Haven at Congaree Pointe’s community yard sale this Saturday, May 17.

The yard sale is from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the apartment complex on atlas road.

You can shop from a wide selection of gently used items, including jewelry, clothing, shoes, and more.

It’s free and open to the public.
