Update: Deputies Say Four Officers in York County Shot During Domestic Violence Call

YORK, SC (WOLO) (WCCB) –Four Officers were shot overnight after York County Sheriff’s deputies say they responded to a domestic violence call.

Three York County Sheriff’s Deputies and one York Police officer were shot , say officials.  A K-9 officer was also wounded.

Officials say three of the deputies involved are being treated at a hospital in Charlotte but there is no word on their condition.

The York County Public Information Officer says all of this started after deputies responded to a domestic violence call around 10 p.m. Monday night.

When deputies arrived on the scene, they say the suspect, Christian Thomas McCall, 47, had already left on foot.  Around 1am, officials say McCall fired shots from near the home, striking a K9 officer who was using a dog to track the suspect.

Officials say McCall also fired shots at a SLED helicopter.

Deputies say McCall then fired more shots around 3:30am striking the three deputies.  McCall was eventually shot and taken into custody.

SLED has been called in to help with the investigation.
