Local Living: R&B icons at CLA, Riverbanks Run 5K event, Walk for Water, Walk like Madd 5K

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, four R&B icons are coming to Soda City tonight to tear the house down.
Gladys Knight, Chaka Khan, Patti Labelle, and Stephanie Mills will take the stage on Friday night, May 16, at 8 p.m. at the Colonial Life Arena.
All four legends will sing some of their biggest hits, and doors open at 7 p.m.
Are you ready to take a run on the wild side?
The Riverbanks Run 5K event starts Saturday, May 17 at 7:15 a.m.
Tickets are $50 for the general public and $40 for Riverbanks members.
Registration ends today at 4:59 p.m.
You can also take a walk to bring clean water to those in need.
The Walk for Water event starts Saturday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m. at Saluda Shoals Park.
The event looks to raise 35-thousand dollars towards their efforts to fight the global water crisis.
Mothers Against Drunk Driving is hosting their annual Walk like Madd 5K on Friday, May 16.
It starts at 6:30 in the evening at the South Carolina Criminal Justice academy on Broad River Road.
Registration starts at 5:30 a.m., and the event raises funds to provide critical support for MADD’s free 24/7 victim services.
