COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — The South Carolina Gamecocks 16-3 (5-2 SEC) will host the Arkansas Razorbacks 11-9 (2-5 SEC) tonight at Colonial Life Arena with a 6:30 p.m. start time. The Gamecocks are looking to advance to a three game win streak against the Razorbacks who are currently ranked third in the SEC.

Senior forward A’ja Wilson will be celebrated for her 2,000th career point by Dawn Staley prior to tip-off. Wilson, just shy of reaching her second milestone as a Gamecock, is only 11 rebounds short of 1,000 in her career. She will then be recognized alongside of former Gamecock Shelia Foster, becoming the second Gamecock to achieve career goals of 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds.

Sophomore point guard Tyasha Harris and Junior forward Alexis Jennings will also prove to be assets to South Carolina’s offense which ranks third in the country with a 50.6 percent shooting average. Harris ranking 10th in assists per game and Jennings ranking eighth overall in field goal percentage will be a major challenge for the Razorbacks.

The Gamecocks are 430-156 all-time at Colonial Life Arena, winning the last four meetings with the Razorbacks. South Carolina is looking to extend the streak in tonight’s match up.
