All westbound lanes reopened after tractor-trailer fire extinguished on I-26, county officials say

 

 

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington County officials say all westbound lanes are reopened after a tractor-trailer fire was extinguished on I-26.

Lexington County Fire Services responded to a tractor-trailer fire on I-26 westbound near mile marker 130, near the Sandy Run/Swansea exit, early Wednesday morning, around 7 a.m.

Officials say fire crews arrived to the scene to find the vehicle fully involved and worked quickly to extinguish the flames. No injuries were reported.

As a safety precaution, all westbound lanes were temporarily closed as firefighters worked to put the fire out.
