Macy’s “selectively” raising prices

(CNN)– Macy’s says some of its items are going to be more expensive.

The retailer is the latest to acknowledge the new reality of doing business amid the Trump Administration’s tariff policies.

On Wednesday, May 28, Macy’s’ CEO said price hikes won’t be broad across its inventory, but will instead be “selective.”

Customers will see higher prices for certain brands and categories.

Macy’s has cut its profit guidance for the year due to trade war impacts.

It joins fellow retailers Target, Walmart and some others in announcing some price increases.
