Victim identified in fatal shooting at Redpoint Columbia Apartments

RICHLAND CO., S.C. (WOLO) – The Richland County Coroner has identified a homicide victim at the Redpoint Columbia student apartment complex Saturday.

Coroner Naida Rutherford says the victim identified is Damajne Hicks, 25, of Columbia, SC.

According to deputies, at approximately 6 a.m., they responded to a shots fired call at the apartment complex on Southern Drive.

Once they arrived, they found Hicks inside an apartment with multiple gun shot wounds.

Authorities say he died on scene from his injuries.
