SCDMV to close Blythewood branch

BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (WOLO)– The South Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles has announced that the Blythewood location will be closing next month.

As of July 7, the 10311 Wilson Blvd. in Blythewood branch will be closed for customer service.

Officials say the closure is due to reduced parking availability at the Blythewood SCDMV location.

Also, officials say the headquarters of SCDMV and the S.C. Department of Public Safety will remain on the Wilson Boulevard campus.

Nearby office locations Columbia-O’Neil and Winnsboro will remain open.
