Video: Ellington Returns To USC Basketball Team

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Gamecock two sport star Bruce Ellington has returned to the Gamecock basketball team.

Head coach Frank Martin said Ellington worked-out with the team Tuesday morning.

“He’s off the charts. He made our team better today,” Martin said.

Ellington is a wide receiver on the South Carolina football team and a guard on the basketball team.

While the senior will travel to Oklahoma State with the team this week, it is unclear how much playing time he’ll receive.

“I’d play Bruce tomorrow after one practice today,” said Martin.

Martin said he isn’t sure how long Ellington will be able to play with the basketball team, before he’s needed for football bowl practices.

Martin plans to speak with South Carolina head football coach Steve Spurrier to figure out Ellington’s schedule.

The Gamecocks will play Oklahoma State on Friday at 9:30 p.m.
