Report: Morris Possible Grobe Successor At Wake Forest

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Clemson offensive coordinator Chad Morris has been named as a possible successor to long-time Wake Forest coach Jim Grobe.
Grobe announced his resignation Monday.
On Tuesday, CBSSports’ Bruce Feldman named Morris as a possibility for the Deacons via Twitter.
“@BFeldmanCBS Hearing #Clemson OC Chad Morris will be a big player in #WakeForest coaching search. Fantastic offensive mind.”
There has been no mention of any contact between Morris and Wake Forest as of Tuesday afternoon.
Morris was recently honored as the national assistant coach of the year.
He is finishing his third season as offensive coordinator with the Tigers.
Morris interviewed with Texas Tech, N.C. State and South Florida last year.
