IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– Irmo PD says a woman was arrested after an incident at a credit union on Thursday.

Tiffany Wright is accused of entering SAFE Federal Credit Union around 12:58 p.m. and claiming to have a gun before leaving the bank.

Investigators say Wright went into the bank agitated about an issue with her account.

During an interaction at the bank, Wright claimed to have a gun and made threatening statements about shooting someone.

While a weapon was never displayed, her threats were taken seriously, say officers.

Around 3:30 p.m., Wright was found and arrested by Irmo officers and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

She was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, and faces charges of aggravated breach of peace and three counts of assault and battery in the 2nd degree.
