Richland County deputy helps deer off the road
RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies never know where their duties will take them and that was certainly the case Thursday morning.
On June 12, deputies say they received a call about a baby deer stuck in the roadway and not sure how to get off.
That’s when Deputy MD Huffman, the department’s resident animal whisperer was able to approach the fawn and coax it back into the woods.
