Man dies in lake in upscale Columbia neighborhood

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) âone space€one space” A 43-year-old man has drowned in a lake in an upscale neighborhood in suburban Columbia.

Richland County Coroner Gary Watts says Clyde Williams’ body was found just before noon Saturday after neighbors saw a boat overturned in Lake Carolina.

Authorities say Williams lived not far from the lake in a home in the neighborhood about 15 miles northeast of downtown Columbia.

Watts says an autopsy is planned for Sunday to determine how Williams died.
