Governor McMaster signs new bill to establish Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– On Tuesday, June 24, Governor McMaster held a ceremonial bill signing a bill that establishes the new Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities.

The new state agency basically joins 3 agency offices with a goal to better improve services for people with disabilities, mental health, and substance abuse needs.

The bill signing was held at the South Carolina Health Campus in Cayce.
