Richland County Co. identifies person after incident at apartment complex

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County Coroner Naida Rutherford has released the identity of the individual who died as a result of an incident that occurred on Wednesday, said the coroner’s office.

The incident took place on Wednesday, June 4, at an apartment complex on Faraway Drive.

The victim has been identified as Grant Ellison, 78, of Columbia.

“We will continue working with the Richland County Sheriff’s Department to fully investigate this incident,” Coroner Rutherford stated.
