RCSD requesting help finding murder suspect

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– RCSD Sheriff Leon Lott is asking the community for help in locating a murder suspect.

The sheriff’s department says deputies received a shots fired call about a shooting at 2624 Broad River Road.

When deputies arrived to the scene, they found a man with multiple gunshot wounds.

EMS and CFD responded and pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

RCSD says the heavy police presence, including the Special Response Team, in the Chadford Road area on Wednesday afternoon, July 2, was part of an on-going investigation into the homicide.

The vehicle used in the murder was towed from the home.

Desmond Coleman is wanted in connection to the murder and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Sheriff Lott urges the community to come forward with any information they may have on his whereabouts.
