Orangeburg County investigators searching for person accused of robbing jewelry store

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Orangeburg County investigators are searching for a person accused of robbing a local jewelry store in May, say deputies.

Sheriff Ravenell says that on May 16 a male entered Kay Jeweler’s on North Road around 11:30 a.m. with a handgun.

The person left the business after taking several bracelets that were in a display box, say officials.

He is described as a black male wearing a black t-shirt, blue basketball shorts, gray socks, and slides.

“If you’ve heard anything, seen anything, no matter how small you may think it may be – call us. We’re still actively investigating this case,” the sheriff says.

Anyone with information on the person is asked to call the Orangeburg County Communications Center at 803-534-3550.
