Local organizations respond to president’s big beautiful bill with conference at State House

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Local opponents of the president’s big beautiful bill held a news conference at the State House Thursday morning, July 3.

Carolina-For-All, 50-50-1, and other groups say the bill will have horrible consequences for the healthcare of many Americans, a negative impact on the economy, and would increase the national deficit by more than three trillion dollars.

According to its website, Carolina For All is a 501c-3 that aims to promote human, civil, workers’ and reproductive rights, environmental protection, and government reform through education, policy development and advocacy.
