FLORENCE, S.C. (WOLO) — Wilson’s Alex Caldwell made the biggest shot of his life Friday night against AC Flora in the 4A Lower State Championship.

With under 45 seconds to play, tied at 40, Caldwell stepped and drained a two from the right side to give the Tigers a 42-40 lead.

Flora had one shot left, but with only a second to play, Nasir Boyce’s desperation heave fell short, sending Wilson to the 4A state title game.

Wilson will now face Ridge View next Saturday night at 7 p.m. under the lights at Colonial Life Arena.
