Irmo firefighters rescue dogs from Woodstream Road home fire

IRMO, S.C. (WOLO)– Crews with the Irmo Fire District were able to save two dogs from a Monday afternoon house fire, said officials.

Columbia-Richland Fire crews worked together with Irmo Fire crews to save a house in the 1500 block of Woodstream Road.

Officials said firefighters were able to keep the house damage limited.

No one was home at the time of the fire but two dogs were inside.

The dogs were found and safely removed from the home, according to IFD.

There were no injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
