RCSD: Deputies arrest juvenile on several charges

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies have arrested a juvenile on several charges.

On July 8, deputies saw a Nissan Altima traveling in the area of Brookland Circle and tried to initiate a traffic stop due to a lighting violation.

Deputies say the passenger of the vehicle ran away on foot and threw items as he ran.

Deputies found an orange pill bottle with over 10 pills, a gun, and a bag of narcotics.

The 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a schedule 1 narcotic, possession of a machine gun, and possession of a firearm under the age of 18.
