SCHP: Fatal collision under investigation

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Highway patrol says a driver is dead following a collision in orangeburg Tuesday morning.

According to troopers, around 9:30 in the morning the driver of a 2011 Toyota Camry was traveling on Charleston Highway at Perwalt Court.

While driving the person went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, then a culvert and a utility pole before overturning.

The driver died at the scene from their injuries.

The Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity, and the investigation into the collision is continuing.
