Columbia Police: Man accused of physically assaulting woman in front of child arrested

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Columbia Police Department says Joseph Anderson, Jr. was arrested in connection with the incident that happened at a Forest Drive amusement center.
The police department also says Anderson is being charged with pointing & presenting a firearm, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, unlawful conduct toward a child.
He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Officers with the Columbia Police Department are searching for a 28-year-old man accused of physically assaulting a woman in front of a child, say officers.
Joseph Anderson, Jr., is wanted by CPD’s Wanted Suspect Special Victims Unit (SVU) in connection with physically assaulting a female acquaintance multiple times at a Forest Drive amusement center, and in front of a child in May.
Officers say when a good samaritan tried to help the victim, Anderson allegedly pointed a gun at the man.
Anderson is considered armed, and dangerous.
