Prisma Health expanding robotic surgery

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– Prisma Health is expanding access to robotic-assisted surgery in all its hospitals across South Carolina.

Officials say the expansion includes the installation of new robotic surgical platforms at four hospitals including Prisma Health Richland and Baptist Parkridge in Columbia.

A Prisma spokesperson says Prisma Health is the first health system in both the Midlands and the Upstate to offer next-generation surgical technology.
