SCHP: 1 person dead following fatal collision in Kershaw

KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says one person is dead following a fatal collision in Kershaw on Saturday.

It happened around 3:45 p.m. on SC-97 at Richards Lane.

According to troopers, the driver went off the road, hit a tree and went down an embankment.

The passenger died at the hospital while the driver was injured.

The Kershaw County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity.

Highway patrol is investigating the incident.
