Local Living: Cayce Police’s supplies drive/back-to-school bash, United Way of the Midlands supplies drive, Guardians of the Night K9 5K

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the Cayce Police Department is looking for your help with back-to-school supplies for the community.
And they will host a back-to-school bash later this month.
You can donate to their school supply drive now through July 25.
Cayce officers will hand out those supplies on July 31 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
There will also be snow cones, inflatables and more.
United Way of the Midlands is hosting its annual ‘Ready, Set, Supply’ drive to support local teachers this month.
You can drop off the school supplies at their building on Blanding Street next Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is hosting their “Guardians of the Night K9 5K” next weekend.
It starts Saturday, July 19 at the state fairgrounds.
Gates open at 7 p.m. the non-timed family run/walk starts at 8:30 and the timed 5K is at 9:30.
It’s all to raise funds to support their K9 team.
