The Gamecocks host LSU on Senior Night

Columbia, S.C.– The South Carolina Gamecocks will host the LSU Tigers for the final home match-up of regular season play tonight. South Carolina will honor their seniors, including Frank Booker and Wes Myers tonight before tip-off at 6:30 p.m in Colonial Life Arena.
Carolina’s meeting with LSU will mark the two’s first contest of the season. The Gamecocks currently sit 12th in SEC play with a 6-10 record for the conference and 15-14 overall. Junior guard Hassani Gravett scored a career high 19 points in the Gamecocks over-time loss to Mississippi State. Gravett also had three assist marking his 17th game with three or more assist this season.
The Gamecocks have shot 40 percent or better in four of their last six games, and shot 44.1 percent from the field against Mississippi State. Seven different Gamecocks average 6.1 points or more this season, including Chris Silva and Frank Booker. At home, South Carolina averages a plus 3.9 scoring margin and plus 2.5 rebound margin over opponents.
LSU ranks 16-12 and 7-9 in the SEC under first year coach, Will Wade. The Tigers are fourth in the SEC averaging 74.0 percent in free-throws. Guard Tremont Waters will be a key player for the Tigers, as he leads his team in shooting averaging 14.4 points per game. Waters sits at second in the SEC for assist, with 5.6 assist and first in the SEC for steals at 2.1 steals per game.
The Gamecocks will close out regular season play at Auburn on Saturday.
