Sumter, SC (WOLO) — The Sumter county Sheriff’s Office have arrested three men they suspect were part of a burglary ring that spanned numerous states.

According to authorities the men were driving along Interstate 95 and Interstate 26 making stops along the way where officials say they committed these crimes.

Tuesday morning, Sumter officials say their crime spree came to an end during a traffic stop after a 2017 Chevy Suburban was spotted speeding on the highway, almost hitting a car traveling slower when the officer decided to initiate the traffic stop.

Once given permission to check the car, authorities say they found plastic bags containing  various items including ski-masks, gloves, a gray hat, a blue crowbar and bundles of cash mixed in with clothing totaling more than 2 thousand dollars. Authorities say an additional 5 thousand dollars in cash was later found in one of the suspects undergarments while being booked.

Sumter Deputies say the trio was caught on surveillance video committing burglaries that spanned from Myrtle Beach to Florida.

The Suspects, 60 year old Robert Fogle, Darryl Burden, and Thyron Burden have been transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center
