Deputies: NC man accused of trafficking fentanyl in Midlands

Lexington Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Lexington Co. deputies say a North Carolina man is accused of trafficking fentanyl.

According to deputies, Brandon Pinkard, 41, facilitated fentanyl purchases at a home on YMCA Rd. in Lexington Co. in April and another purchase in Columbia in May on Jamil Rd.

“Even small amounts of fentanyl can be deadly as drug dealers press the powder into pill form, or sell it in combination with other drugs such as heroin and cocaine,” Lexington Sheriff Jay Koon said. “We’re committed to stopping the flow of fentanyl across the county and the devastation it brings to our community.”

Pinkard is being held in the Lexington County Detention Center.
