Local Living: Brew at the Zoo, Toucan Tuesdays, Back-to-School Bashes

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, tickets are available for Riverbanks’ 20th annual Brew at the Zoo.

It starts Friday, August 1 from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

You can enjoy a wide selection of craft and local beer, plus some food, live music, and more.

Tickets are $80 for the public and $70 bucks for Riverbanks members.

 

Riverbanks Zoo is also teaming up with Harvest Hope for “Toucan Tuesdays”.

Guests who bring two cans, or bags or boxes of non-perishable food items

will receive buy-one-get-one admission tickets and buy-one-get-one regular sized Icees

Toucan Tuesdays will take place every Tuesday now through August 12 with donation bins located at the zoo and garden entrances.

 

The Cayce Police Department is hosting a back-to-school bash later this month.

You can donate to their school supply drive now through Friday, July 25.

Cayce officers will hand out those supplies on Thursday, July 31, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.

There will also be snow cones, inflatables and more.

 

The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office is hosting their 4th annual Back-to-School Bash.

Families who attend will receive free school supplies and food.

The first 20 adults to drop-off unwanted prescription medications will receive a $15 gift card.

It takes place Saturday, July 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Ridgeway Means Street Ball Field.
