Miller Lite to give away 50k free beers

(CNN)– Miller Light is celebrating its 50th anniversary in a big way.

The brand is giving away 50,000 free beers at bars across the United States.

They’ll be offered at nearly 500 bars in more than a dozen states on August 1 which is International Beer Day.

Miller Light is also hosting a new year’s-eve style “beer drop” at its brewery in Milwaukee.

The 50th birthday celebration got going earlier in the Summer with limited-edition gold cans.
