Deputies: Man arrested after running from traffic stop, cash and drugs found
Sumter Co., S.C. (WOLO)– Deputies with the Sumter Co. Sheriff’s Office say an attempted traffic stop lead to the discovery of drugs and cash.
Investigators say on Monday deputies saw a car driving in the wrong direction on Reese St.
When deputies attempted to stop the car, they say Anthony Pringle sped away in attempt to avoid law enforcement.
Deputies say he eventually came to a stop at Dixie St. and Jackson St. where he was arrested.
During a search, deputies say they found an open alcoholic beverage and $14,000 in cash.
Investigators say Pringle also threw an item from his car during the chase which contained meth, crack, cocaine, Oxycodone, and Marijuana.
Pringle was transported to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center.
