NCSO: Parts of area still dealing with flash flooding after heavy rain

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– The Newberry County Sheriff’s Office says parts of the area are still dealing with flash flooding.

Officials say Wheeland School Road is closed between Mill Road and Wheeland Road.

The road was closed due to a severe washout on both sides from the flooding on Monday night (Aug. 12).

SCDOT will open the road after evaluation say county officials.
