WATCH: Irmo Little League stuns defending champs, heads to World Series

IRMO, S.C. — The Irmo Little League All-Stars are headed to Williamsport after an unforgettable 5–4 comeback over the defending champions in the Southeast Regional final.

Down 4–0 in the sixth, with the bases loaded and two outs, Irmo stayed calm under pressure. After an intentional walk to set up a rare walk-off scenario, Brady Westbrooks delivered the winning hit, sending the Irmo dugout into a frenzy.

Manager Dave Bogan praised the team’s focus. “The kids stayed confident and believed they could get it done,” he said.

Irmo is now just the fourth South Carolina team to reach the Little League World Series, earning attention from fans, community leaders, and even South Carolina football coach Shane Beamer.

The All-Stars will now take their historic run to Williamsport, aiming to bring the Palmetto State its first-ever Little League World Series title.

Irmo is set to face Team New England on August 14 at 3 p.m. on ESPN.
