Man arrested for disposing commodities before payment, deputies say

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Richland County deputies have arrested a man for disposing commodities before payment.

According to deputies, in 2022, 57-year-old Paul Praillaeu began to order sod from a local business and failed to pay for it after putting the grass in.

As of the beginning of August, payment of the invoices for over $7000 worth of sod have still not been made to the turf business.

Praillaeu was arrested on Aug. 12 and taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

He was charged with making away with commodities before payment.
