Judge grants man accused of hitting, killing SC trooper continuance for a hearing

 

 

 

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)– The man accused of hitting and killing SC State Trooper Dennis Ricks will have to wait before going to court.

Thursday morning, Aug. 21, a judge granted a continuance for a hearing for Anthony Aydlette.

The hearing will now take place September 4th.

Aydlette is charged with driving under suspension after troopers say he hit Ricks while he was conducting a traffic stop on I-26.

Troopers say more charges may be pending.
