3 wounded in early morning shooting, Sumter County deputies say
SUMTER COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– According to the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, three people have been wounded after an early morning shooting.
The sheriff’s office says deputies responded early Sunday to reports of gunfire in the 3300 block of North Main Street.
Deputies arrived to the scene to find multiple shell casings and an individual with an active warrant who told deputies they had been shot.
The person was taken to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital for treatment.
Two additional gunshot victims from the same incident arrived separately at Tuomey’s emergency department in personal vehicles and were treated for non-life-threatening injuries, says SCSO.
Investigators collected evidence at the scene.
