SCHP: Driver killed in a wreck on I-26 east in Richland County

RICHLAND COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says a driver was killed in a wreck on I-26 east in Richland County on Sunday, August 31.

According to investigators, the victim was traveling at mile marker 96 around 9:30 a.m.

when they went off the left side of the road and struck a concrete barrier.

The victim was taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.

The Richland County Coroner’s Office has not yet released the victim’s identity as the investigation continues.
