Prosperity man arrested after exposing himself to a young person

NEWBERRY COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– Newberry County Sheriff’s Office says deputies arrested a Prosperity man after he exposed himself to a young person.

Charles Robert Norman, Jr., 41, of Sunrise Lane in Prosperity is accused of exposing himself to a child and trying to entice them to got to the offender’s home.

Sheriff’s office deputies conducted an early morning operation to take Norman who is a registered sex offender into custody.

Norman is in the Newberry County Detention Center under charges for indecent exposure and luring or enticing a child.

Officials say his bond has not been set yet.

The sheriff’s office says people should regularly monitor the Sex Offender Registry page on the sheriff’s office or SLED’s web sites to find out who is living near you.
