Driver dead following wreck in Orangeburg, says SCHP

ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– SC Highway Patrol says a driver is dead following a wreck in Orangeburg Thursday.

The collision happened on I-26 west at mile marker 164 around 2:20 p.m

Troopers say the driver went off the left side of the road and struck the median cables.

The driver died on scene from their injuries.

Orangeburg County Coroner’s Office has not released the victim’s identity yet, and the investigation continues.
