Mayor’s Cup battle will be played under the lights

COLUMBIA, S.C. (Sept. 8, 2025) — The South Carolina Gamecocks will travel to Columbia, Mo. to take on the Missouri Tigers in the annual battle for the Mayor’s Cup on Saturday, Sept. 20. Game time has been set for either 7 or 7:30 pm ET and the contest will be televised on either ABC or ESPN.

Mizzou leads the all-time series by a 9-6 margin, including a 4-2 advantage when playing in the Show Me State. South Carolina won last year’s contest in the Palmetto State by a 34-30 score, snapping the Tigers’ five-game winning streak in the series. The Gamecocks last win in CoMo came in 2017 by a 31-13 score.

No. 11/10 South Carolina (2-0) hosts Vanderbilt (2-0) on Saturday in a 7:45 pm kick at Williams-Brice Stadium, while No. 25 Missouri (2-0) hosts Louisiana in a non-conference game.
