Cracker Barrel suspends renovations after backlash

(CNN)– After a disastrous logo redesign, Cracker Barrel is suspending its restaurant renovations.

In a social media post Tuesday, September 9, the southern-themed restaurant chain said the rocking chairs on the porch, fireplaces, and gift shops will not be removed from any more restaurants.

The minimalist renovation was only tested at 4 of its 660 locations.

Cracker Barrel’s canceled remodel comes after the company’s new logo which removed the “old timer” figure and barrel was met with backlash.
