Local Living: SC State Fair discount admission tickets, HBCU Battle of the Bands, Tunnel to Towers 5K, 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, the South Carolina State Fair is right around the corner.

Now through October 7th you can purchase a discount admission ticket at participating Circle-K locations or online.

You can also enter a chance to win a family fair pack at ABC Columbia.com.

The state fair runs from October 8th through October 19th.

Tickets are on sale now for the HBCU Battle of the Bands.

The highly-anticipated event will bring together the nation’s most dynamic bands for an evening of music, dance, and school-spirit.

It takes place Sunday, September 14, at the Charles W. Johnson Stadium.

Gates open at 2 p.m. and the show starts at 4 p.m.

The annual Tunnel to Towers 5K starts Friday, September 12, at 6 p.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center on Lincoln Street.

The event raises funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation which supports our nation’s fallen and injured first responders, veterans, and their families.

The 9/11 Remembrance Foundation of South Carolina will host its annual Morning of Remembrance Ceremony Thursday, Sept 11.

The prelude begins at 8 in the morning and the program starts at 8:40 a.m. at the Columbia Metropolitan Convention Center.

ABC Columbia’s Tyler Ryan is hosting the event as well.
