LOCAL LIVING: COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO)— In today’s look at Local Living, Columbia’s annual Greek Festival is now underway.
The event is taking place at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Sumter Street.
It’s from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, September 18, through Saturday, September 20, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, September 21.
You and the family can enjoy some authentic Greek food, music and much more.
It’s free to attend.
Historic Columbia will host its 47th annual Jubilee Festival of Black History and Culture this Saturday, September 20.
It’s from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the Mann-Simons site on Richland Street.
You and the family can enjoy live music, food trucks., artist demos and much more.
The event is free to attend.
The City of Columbia is hosting its 10th annual Parking Day event on Friday, September 19.
From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. participants will design and build temporary parklet installations in parking spaces downtown.
The event’s designed to call attention to the need for more urban open space.
The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a barbecue cook-off and car show next month.
You and the family can win door prizes while enjoying barbecue.
The event is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 11th at the Sumter County Civic Center.
Admission is free.
