USC Gets Sweep, Now 51 Straight Shutout Innings

COLUMBIA, S.C. (WOLO) — Gamecock pitching continued its early season dominance Sunday, upping its shutout innings streak to 51 straight with a 6-0 win against Eastern Kentucky. #5 Carolina got the sweep and improved to 7-0 on the season behind another strong start by Wil Crowe. The freshman struck out five in 6.1 scoreless innings. 5 Gamecock relievers came on from there to preserve their 5th straight shutout. USC broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the 3rd inning. Connor Bright, Grayson Greiner and D.C. Arendas all tallied RBI hits in the inning.
