Lexington County woman arrested on child sexual abuse material charges

LEXINGTON COUNTY, S.C. (WOLO)– A Lexington County woman has been arrested on child sexual abuse material charges.

According to South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson, 30-year-old Brittany Tomberlin distributed files of child sexual abuse material.

Investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children which led them to Tomberlin.

Tomberlin was arrested on September 23, and charged with with one count of sexual exploitation of a minor, second degree.

She could face up to 10 years in prison.
